Annalisa is a beautiful young woman with a bright future. When she applied to be an Ambassador for the 2013 school year, her interest in culture impressed me.

I enjoy talking to her about Opera. We both liked Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata that was played at the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House this spring 2012.

Because of the hot weather this summer, we had a session in the studio. Annalisa posed like a pro. I was able to easily capture her spontaneous smile thanks to her confidence in front of the camera.

Annalisa did her own hair style and make-up. Her selection of clothes and colors were of excellent taste. She looks just awesome with those bright eyes and beautiful smile.

Hopefully, the cool weather will allow us to do an outdoor session this Fall.

It is Your Choice

Whoa! Who Said You Had to Go to the School’s “Contract Photographer” for your Personal Portraits?

Let us clear the confusion about “official” or “contract” photographers.

Remember your Freshman and Sophomore pictures? Do you really want a photograph like those to be the one that all of your friends remember you by? Well, the contract photographer is probably the one who created those “gems.” And guess what – your school may try to force you to use them again!

Remember, the school may have a contract for services with a certain photographer, but the school photographer has no contract with you, and you have no purchase obligations to that photography studio.

You still have a choice if your school is really strong-aiming you into using the contract photographer. Let them take your yearbook picture without being obligated to buy anything else. You can then come to Images by Lucila for the portraits you really want.

Although Images by Lucila is not the contract photographer for your school, or any other school for that matter, we can take your senior photos for use in most school yearbooks by complying with their specifications. If your school does not accept images that are not taken by the contract photographer, we will discount the session fee to compensate for the fee you will be charged by the school photographer for your yearbook photo, and make you happy with the images that you really want.

It is Not A Great Deal If…

You Do Not Get Great Pictures!

By now, you have probably received mailings from different photography studios all wanting you to choose them as your High School Senior Photographer. Most likely, they had offered discounted session fees or the free wallet specials that everyone has to offer.

All of those things are good, but keep one important fact in mind: – It is not a great deal if you do not get great pictures!

Like everything we purchase, a bargain is only a bargain if the product that you receive is actually worth purchasing. Cheap items are still just cheap items and they don’t last long. Indeed, cheap things end up costing you more in the long run.

At Images by Lucila, our priority is creating the highest quality by a Certified Professional Photographer.

Did you know that most retail studios only require a minimum of 18 years of age to hire their photographers so the studios can pay them the minimum wage? What can you expect?

Not only has Lucy trained with the finest photographic instructors worldwide to provide a level of craftsmanship that is second to none. Lucy has earned awards in the field of professional photography and most likely will compete with your images.

The point is as simple as this: Lucy hates to offer fake promotions to get you in the door because Lucy is confident that you will LOVE your portraits.

At Images by Lucila, we take the time to let you express yourself in each image. You can bring along your pets, your car, anything… Oh, and remember to bring your favorite music so you can listen to it during your extensive portrait session.  Lucy will make your photos personal and not just like everyone else.

My recommendation to you: Don’t just consider specials or bottom-line pricing when making a choice for your everlasting memories. Remember, your Senior High School photos are the most important memories that you have ever had taken of you.

Make the right choice for you: call Lucy at 972-517-2136. This is one choice you will never regret.

Your Satisfaction Guaranteed!

Finding Your Inner Self

I really enjoy photographing young people.

I want to bring out the extraordinary in you. You are special, and I want to capture your special inner self.

That is why I start where the work of an average photographer ends. Let us face it, an average photographer may spend a couple of hours taking several pictures of you, and then giving you a CD with a bunch of images coming out straight from the camera. You may be happy with that, yet you have no clue that you deserve more than a bunch of unretouched pictures.

I can do better. First of all, I take the time to get to know you so I can capture your personality. Then, I spend all the time I need to create that Special Image of You. Sometimes, you don’t even realize how brilliant you are until you see what I see beyond your eyes: your inner self along with an artistic touch.

Still don’t know what I mean? Let me give you examples.

Here is an image of a Senior. It looks like something you would get at JC Penney, right? It is nice, no doubt. You would probably want to have several wallet-size or gift-size pictures so you can share with family and friends.

Now, look at the artistic interpretation of the same image.

Your parents would be proud of displaying a huge wall portrait of you in the main area of their home.

Okay, here is a nice wallet size or gift size souvenir that would come straight from the camera. It is nice, no doubt.

Yet here is the artistic interpretation of the ordinary picture.

Your parents would be proud of displaying a huge wall portrait of you in the main area of their home.

Remember, in a couple of months, you will pack your clothes to go to college. Leave a true legacy of the Special YOU.
