“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

Take an intimate look at each of the 54 hand-carved figures in this work of art which took thousands of hours during 24 years to produce.

A group of women interested in giving quilts to children who are in a crisis situation, ill, or with another need, started Quilts for Kids in 2000. First United Methodist Church of Plano, Texas, sponsors this project. Also, church members and friends offer donations, fabric, and material.
Quilts for Kids donates the quilts to several organizations, such as:
- Children’s Advocacy, Plano
- Hopes Door, Plano
- Children’s Hospital, Dallas
- Children & Community Health, McKinney
- Wesley Rankin, Dallas
- Head Start, Dallas
- Journey Home Hospice
- FirstChurch or community children who are ill or in need
- US Military children who have lost their loved ones while serving
- NHYC Youth Choir
Quilters do not have to know how to sew or quilt. They can help by selecting fabric, pining quilts, cutting blocks, ironing, and more. Quilts for Kids meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
- First United Methodist Church, Room 206 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
We invite you to join Quilts for Kids. It is a great fellowship!

I want to share with you a trip to Bethlehem Marketplace, near the area where Jesus was born because there was no room for them in the inn. Mary gave birth to her first-born son, and wrapped him in clothes, and laid Him in a manger… (Luke 2:7). Then, an angel appeared to the shepherds saying, “I bring you good news of great joy… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, is born. Luke 2:8-14. “And call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins… Immanuel, which means, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23

My husband Mike and I have been members of First United Methodist Church in Plano, TX for more than 25 years. Time flies. We have seen the church grow from a tiny church at 18th Street to its new home at Spring Creek and E. Parker Road. But that is not the growth that I want to talk about. Instead, I want to talk about the people who are now inspiring us with their talents.
Nathan Frank was a child when he started singing at the choir, and now he is our Music Ministry Director. We are blessed with his presence as he directs uplifting concerts. Agnus Dei is an exemplary gift he offered the congregation in December 2010 with an Unbelievable Message: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” in John 1:29 when he sees Jesus.
I had to hold my tears to be able to take the images while the Choir was signing Alleluia, Alleluia, for the Lord God Almighty reigns…
That is why I want to share this experience of joy with you. Click on the link : Agnus Dei
